An introduction to the education of the child, birth through age 12, including developmentally appropriate practices and programs, theoretical and historical perspectives, ethical and professional responsibilities, and current issues. This course is for Child Development majors. 16 hours of fi eld experiences required. Insurance Fee: $3.50 Prerequisites: DEVR 0303 and DEVW 0403 or satisfactory score on appropriate placement test. Student must be eligible for fi eld experiences by passing a criminal background check through the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services and meet the Child Development Department's fi eld experiences/lab policies.
