Introduction to CT, MRI, CR, DR, sonography, mammography and other advanced imaging modalities including radiobiology. Emphasis on various energies used to create images and the effects of radiation on the human body. Discussion of the types of equipment and image processing including imaging dynamics and protocols. Exploration of each modality including radiation safety, dosage, and protection. Features and benefits of each modality as integral parts of Medical Imaging as well as future trends. Concurrent enrollment in MRAD 226. Prerequisite: A grade of "C" or better in MRAD 225, 250 and 270 or consent ofInstructional Unit.
