A survey of information regardingchildren with special needs including possible causes and characteristics of exceptionalities, intervention strategies, available resources, referral processes, the advocacy role and legislative issues. Regularly scheduled observations of children are required. Insurance Fee: $3.50 Prerequisites: DEVR 0303 and DEVW 0403 or satisfactory score on appropriate placement test. Student must be eligible for fi eld experiences by passing a criminal background check through the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services and meet the Child Development Department's policies for fi eld experiences.
