Broad economic principles, issues, structures, processes, and variables governing the dynamics of the United States and global economies. Problems of economic organization, market processes, role of government in the economy and society, money and banking processes and issues, measurement and determination of economic aggregates, fiscal and monetary policies, economic growth and development and international trade. May be taken by non-majors in engineering, etc., to fulfill a one-quarter economics requirement. Formerly ECON 201. Credit not allowed for both ECON 201 and ECON& 202.
