Specific course goals are to demonstrate the basic application of the principles of thermodynamics and heat transfer to air conditioning systems. Topics include indoor air quality, heat transmission in buildings, solar radiation, space heating and cooling loads, energy calculations and pumping. A design project will be performed. Prerequisites: ME 341, ME 347 or instructor's permission.
