Course deals with fundamentals of the fluid mechanics and thermodynamics of turbo-machinery with emphasis on gas turbines, including cycles, components and component-matching. Behavior and design of compressors, turbines and pumps. Upon successful completion of course, students will be able to evaluate the performance of turbo-machinery and design and optimize component and system performance. Prerequisites: ME 308 and ME 341.
