This course examines how United States foreign policy is both created and conducted. It characterizes American foreign policy in general, looks at how government institutions act and interact with one another on foreign policy issues, and discusses the position of the United States in world politics. The roles and interrelations of the executive, Congress, the departments of state and defense, the intelligence community, the media, and public opinion are areas that may be covered. Credit, 3 semester hours. PREREQ: PSPA 1000 or 1010.
