A survey of the historical evolution, functions and current policies of various types of regional and universal organizations and their role in contemporary international relations. Organizations that deal with transnational issues, peacekeeping, and international political economy will be featured. Special emphasis will be placed on the United Nations, its structure, and its role in the world. Credit, 3 semester hours. PREREQ: PSPA 1000 or 1010.
