Anintroduction to the concepts and techniques used by the independent accountant in the audit of financial statements within the framework of generally accepted accounting principles and generally accepted auditing standards. Emphasis is placed on professional standards and ethics, risk assessment, the collection and evaluation of audit evidence, and on audit preparation.
