This course surveys basic problems and perspectives in ethics and leads to a critical analysis of contemporary moral problems such as abortion, capital punishment, poverty, affirmative action, animal rights, and the environment. Prerequisites: Pass the Reading section of the THEA test (or alternate test) or to have passed READ 0306 with a grade of "C" or better. Three class hours perweek. Credit: Three semester hours.
