READ 0304 is a basic reading course designed to improve overall reading skills, particularly fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension through the development of skills in basic phonics, structural analysis, use of reference materials, reading and specific information, study techniques, and written responses to comprehensive questions. Prerequisites: Appropriate THEA score (or alternate test score). Not counted toward a degree or certificate. Three class hours and two laboratory hours. Credit: Three credit hours.
