This course is designed to develop basic conversational skills necessary to communicate with patients in a health care setting. Students will acquire a basic linguistic and cultural foundation enabling them to interview and manage patients in clinical settings using Spanish; to take a history and perform a physical exam using Spanish; and to interpret health concerns of Spanishspeaking populations. The course is designed for health care professionals.
