Prerequisite: SPN 1120 or as determined by placement test results. Emphasizing the development of practical skills rather than grammatical knowledge, this course prepares the student to read, write and speak modern Spanish and prepares the student for more advanced study. Native speakers of Spanish may take this course only with the permission of the Foreign Language Coordinator. (A laboratory fee of $10 will be assessed.)
