Prerequisites: CHI 1120 Beginning Chinese I, CHI 1121 Beginning Chinese II or equivalent Intermediate Chinese I builds upon the proficiency in the language acquired during the elementary-level sequence, with an emphasis on improved speaking and comprehension skills, and the acquisition of a broader vocabulary. Native speakers of Chinese may take this course only with the permission of the Language Coordinator. (A laboratory fee of $10 will be assessed.)
