Prerequisites: Two 3000-level literature courses or instructor permission. This course explores poems and other forms of expression that address the complexities of the sentiments of love and violence in the manner that it has been expressed in Hispanic culture. It will introduce and engage these topics as they relate to issues of gender, national politics, and culture from Latin America and Spain. May be repeated to a maximum of six semester hours.
