Prerequisite: SPW 3030. Through a variety of readings and written and oral activities, this course provides students with a fundamental knowledge of the critical issues related to the early Iberian peninsula, from approximately 1000 to 1700 A.D. Such topics may include medieval multiculturalism, the cultural role of the Church, and culture in an age of territorial expansion.
