Reading and study of some of the outstanding modern prose writers of Latin America, such as Azuela, Carpentier, Borges, Rulfo, Fuentes, Garcia Marquez, Machado de Assis, and Amado. Does not count toward major or minor in Spanish, Spanish with a concentration in business, or Spanish co-majors. This class counts for Latin American and Caribbean studies major and minor. Taught in English.
