Prerequisite: MAC 1114. This course covers basic principles and procedures of various elements of surveying and site investigation including distance measurements, leveling, angles and directions, traverse computations, geometric coordinates, topographic mapping, and highway horizontal and vertical curves. Contemporary surveying methods such as GPS and GIS are used. Lab includes use of field-surveying equipment and procedures.
