Prerequisites: CWR 3201 and EES 3040. This course examines the fundamentals of groundwater flow and contaminant transport. Topics include Darcy's law, flow nets, mass conservation, heterogeneity and anisotropy, storage properties, 3-D equation of groundwater flow, regional circulation, unsaturated flow, recharge, stream-aquifer interaction, well hydraulics, slug test analyses, and contaminant transport processes.
