Corequisite: CHM 3120. This is the laboratory portion of Introduction to Analytical Chemistry I. Experiments include: potentiometric titration of acid mixtures, spectrophotometric determination of pH, spectrophotometric determination of iron in drinking water, lithium by flame emission, fluoride ion-selective electrodes, copper in metal alloys by liquid-liquid extraction, and quantitative analysis of hydrocarbons by gas chromatography.
