Fundamentals of semiconductor physics and modeling (semiconductor doping technology, carrier concentrations, carrier transport by drift and diffusion, temperature effects, semiconductor device models). Principles of semiconductor device analysis (current-voltage and capacitance-voltage characteristics). Static and dynamic operation of semiconductor contacts, PN junction diodes, MOS capacitors, MOS field-effect transistors (MOSFETs), and bipolar-junction transistors (BJTs).
