Investigates major environmental issues facing tropical nations using concepts from the natural and physical sciences, the social sciences, and resource management. Topics include: climatic and biogeographical patterns, trends in human population size and demography, historical and contemporary issues in resource use and conservation, and sociological and ethical concerns regarding the source and distribution of economic wealth.
