Spatial and temporal analysis of geology of south Florida. Includes class discussions, required spring break field trip to South Florida, trip presentation, post-trip research paper. Examination of shallow marine sedimentary environments including reefs, mudbanks, and mangrove forests and islands, and their ancient counterparts in rock outcrops and sediment cores. Includes a field trip with a required fee for the trip. Prerequisite: Earth and Ocean Sciences 11 or 12, or consent of instructor. Instructor: Dwyer
