This course will introduce its participants to the ideals and components of Orff Schulwerk. Ideals and components that will be addressed include Carl Orff’s philosophy for music education, pedagogical aspects of the Schulwerk, the conceptual framework of the approach and the experiential aspects of the design. May be taken for graduate credit; additional coursework will be required.
