The course will focus on mathematics as a conceptual approach enabling children to acquire clear and stable concepts by constructing meanings in the context of physical situations and allows mathematical abstractions to emerge from empirical experiences. The students will be expected to integrate knowledge of mathematics, learning, pedagogy, and students and apply that knowledge to teaching mathematics.
