Instructor-certification course prepares individuals to adapt and deliver tactical verbal skills curriculum for facility in-service and new-employee orientation. Tactical verbal skills are part of the Use-of-Force Model and required by Department of Corrections policy. Includes instruction on how to verbally de-escalate upset, angry, and out-of-control subjects. Learn skills for leading classroom discussions and developing and managing skill-practice sessions.
