Second in a series of seven, this course facilitates development of student skills required for the practice of dental hygiene. New practice and application includes coronal polishing, use and care of dental handpieces, basic instrumentation for scaling procedures and instrument sharpening, patient case-type classification, and developing dental hygiene diagnosis. Prerequisite: Admission to Dental Hygiene Program. (Formerly DENT 119.)
