This course is a study of the development of Hispanic culture and civilization from its beginnings to the present day. It charts the significant historical, geographical, intellectual, artistic, social, literary, and political aspects of Hispanic life. A special emphasis will be placed on the twentieth century and cross-cultural comparisons. Prerequisite: SPA 2312 or permission of the instructor.
