Students must serve as interns at an approved therapeutic recreation site under the direct supervision of a nationally certified therapeutic recreation specialist. The experience focuses on direct service provision to consumers of therapeutic recreation, including leadership, documentation, assessment, program planning and professional interaction. A minimum of 12 weeks on site is required. Prerequisites: Completion of all course work and permission of program coordinator.
