This course is a survey of the development of Spanish literature from its beginnings to the contemporary era. Special emphasis will be placed on distinctive features of significant literary movements and period, concepts of literary criticism, and the vocabulary of literary analysis. Particular attention will be focused on the twentieth century. Prerequisite: SPA 2312 or assignment by proficiency examination.
