This course is a survey of the major works of Cervantes with a special emphasis on Don Quixote and The Exemplary Novels. Special emphasis will be placed on the major literary movements and genres that constitute the Golden Age of Spain. A sampling of Cervantine theory and criticism will be introduced. Prerequisite: SPA 3333 or SPA 3335.
