This course presents a variety of assistive technologies and environmental adaptations and provides information on how to assess the need for assistive technologies and environmental adaptations. The course also provides opportunities for constructing and/or modifying assistive technologies and environmental adaptation. It also identifies federal policies regarding people with disabilities, identifies sources and issues of funding, and justifies the need for assistive technologies and environmental adaptation via documentation. (One lecture and three laboratory hours per week.) Prerequisites: OCC 3305 and OCC 3401.
