In this course subject matter is drawn from the fields of astronomy, geology and meteorology. The work embodied in the course includes a study of celestial bodies, the solar system, the history and structure of the earth, and the natural forces which act on the earth and in its atmosphere. Demonstrations, experiments, field trips, and visual aids supplement the lectures. (Three one-hour lecture periods per week) Co-requisite: PHS 2137.
