This course provides an introduction to the basic rudiments of drumming, giving attention to roll phrasing and the adaptation of the rudiments to standard 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, and 6/8 exercises. Students are given opportunities to perform easy solos. This course is required of all instrumentalists on the music education track. (Two hours per week.)
