This course is an overview of major literary works and movements of the Portuguese speaking world in all genres. Emphasis will be on literature from Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Mozambique, and Cape Verde. Students will also learn concepts of literary theory and criticism, and they will learn to use these in analyzing texts. Prerequisite: POR 2312 or permission of the instructor.
