This course examines the nature of handicapping conditions and the use of motor skill to enable adaptation to social life, community living, and recreational environments. Also examined will be the role of adaptive physical education in the regular physical education program, the special education program, school administrational functions, parental activity and related services. Practicum required. Prerequisite: PED 2340.
