This course is designed to help the student apply physiological, biomechanical, and motor-learning principles to the development of physical activity programs for older adults. The course will include development of technical and personal skills related to functional fitness assessment, exercise prescription, exercise leadership, and program management. Special emphasis will be placed on human relations and communication skills needed to effectively work with older adults.
