This course provides a basic study of conducting techniques and their use as a medium for communicating tempo, dynamics, style, mood, phrasing, and other information basic to music ensembles. It also includes study of the choral score, style and interpretation, aural criticism, and application of conducting techniques to choral singing. Students are provided with a working knowledge of planning and conducting a choral rehearsal and tour. This should be taken in conjunction with MUS 3121. (Two hours per week.)
