This is a developmental course covering the fundamentals of music notation, major and minor key signature identification and notation, writing of major and minor scales, and the identification and writing of simple and compound time signatures. The recognition and construction of major, minor, diminished, and augmented triads will also be a focus as well as writing in the bass, tenor, and alto clefs. The computer laboratory and appropriate software will be utilized for out-of-class drill. (Two hours per week.)
