The student is introduced to information technology as available and used by today's organizations for the creation of intranet, Internet, and World Wide Web sites. The course focuses on the development of webbased information through the use of Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) and scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript, VBScript, PERL). Students explore the issues related to the complete design of a web site, including: legal and ethical issues, design consistency, continuity, issues relating to the use of various browsers, and aesthetics. Prerequisite: MIS 1380 or CSC 1306.
