This course deals with the causes and prevention of accidents and injuries in the home, school and community. Special attention is given to the prevention and care of injuries with laboratory experience in bandaging, splinting, artificial respiration and treatment. The American Red Cross standard or advanced first aid certificate will be granted to those who satisfactorily complete course requirements. Prerequisite: HED 1201.
