This course focuses on strengthening professional nursing practice through the integration of knowledge from the discipline of nursing and related areas. The clinical practicum provides the opportunity to use this knowledge as a basis for engaging in innovative and skilled nursing practice designed to address a range of health care needs of individuals and groups. This course is designated as a writing enriched course. Course includes 84, self-directed, independent clinical hours. Prerequisites: NURS 216, 351/353, 352, 357, 363, and all required liberal studies and science courses. Pre- or corequisites: NURS 453 and 455. 6 semester hours
