This course continues to develop clinical problem solving and decision-making skills in nursing students. Factors that influence clinical problem solving are examined. Application of problem solving and critical thinking approaches continue to be facilitated through the use of simulated clinical situations and practice in standardized test taking. This course requires students to achieve a score of 850 or greater on the Health Education Systems, Inc. (HESI) exit examination. Prerequisite: NURS 471. 1 semester hour
