This course provides a beginning knowledge of the managerial role of the professional nurse with groups of clients and caregivers within a variety of health care settings. Management process, organizational theory, styles of leadership, change models, and conflict resolution are addressed. An independent clinical practicum is included to provide the student with an opportunity to observe and analyze these concepts within a health care setting. Prerequisite: NURS 357. 3 semester hours
