This research seminar teaches the application of the scientific method to the study of issues related to crime and criminal justice. Topics include the relationship between theory, hypotheses, and empirical research; various methodological designs including survey research and quasi-experimental and qualitative methods; as well as ethical concerns that govern the study of crime and justice. Required of all criminal justice majors. Prerequisite: PSY 385. 3 semester hours
