Introductory course designed to emphasize the established fundamental principles common to all known forms of life. Topics for discussion include the orgin of life forms (abiogenesis) on this planet, and the evolution and operation (metabolism and self-perpetuation) of such forms of life at various levels of biological organization. Comprehension of the principles including "complementarity between structure and function" is emphasizedthroughout.
