Dr. Czubaroff, Dr.Woodstock Employing the methods of rhetoric, narrative and/or semiotics, this seminar focuses on the analysis of the persuasive dimensions of texts, such as popular songs, films, news stories and fictional television programming. Students engage in research and writing and make an oral presentation of their findings. Prerequisites:: MCS 200W, MCS-201 and one 300 level course between 300 and 370. Senior standing or permission of instructor. Three hours per week. Four semester hours.
