Dr. Clark An examination of post-colonial conflict in Vietnam from the mid-19th century through 1975. We will approach the narrative from the perspective of the Vietnamese in an attempt to understand the domestic stresses, resulting from both internal and external change, which produced the post-World War II upheavals, as well as the motivations of the Western powers that intervened.
