Prof. Aiken, Prof. Young This course is designed as an introduction into dance and movement techniques, and will prepare the student for the 200 level technique courses. The class will focus on the basic principles of dance movement, including alignment, coordination, musicality, and locomotion through space. Students will develop increased body awareness, flexibility and strength, and ease with a broad movement vocabulary. This course is open to all, no previous experience necessary. Four hours per week. Two semester hours. ( Offered spring and fall semesters.) ( A partial.)
