The course includes excitable cell membranes, ion channels, synapses, sensory receptors, neuronal integration, neuromuscular systems, coding of neural information, and computer simulation of neural systems. Prerequisites: Biology 201W; or permission of the instructor. Three hours of lecture; three hours of laboratory per week. Four semester hours. (LS.)
